I have just played Z in George Bernard Shaw's Village Wooing at the Actor's Centre for SHAW2020 in conjunction with the The Shaw Society, directed by Jonas Cemm.
It is a lesser known comedietta for two voices by Shaw inspired by his own relationship with the village post Mistress of Ayot St Lawrence, Jisabella Lyth. Her memoirs 'Bernard Shaw's Postmistress' have just been published by Professor Leonard Conolly.
We hope to revive this one night only studio production later in the year at the Palladion Church Ayot St Lawrence, where Jisabella is in fact burried.
