Hitting The Wall Theatre, in association with The Darlings Club, presents a rehearsed reading of their debut play The Internet Was Made For Adults, an exploration into the pain of intimacy in the digital age.
It’s Friday night. Freya’s in pain. Jamie’s being left behind. Ellie’s all alone. Phoebe’s in free-fall. In a digital world that bombards us with messages of how to live ‘right’ and fuels a growing sense of inadequacy, is being plugged in really the same as being connected?
The Internet Was Made For Adults is a cocktail of live music, revelation and friendship laid bare.
Location: Above The Arts, Arts Theatre, Leicester Square.
When: Tuesday 4th July at 2pm.
Performed by Georgina Strawson, Emily Francis, Fiona Jane and Maryann O'Brien.
Directed by Anna Girvan, Ass Dir Amelia Brown, Musical Director Daisy Boulton, Lyrics & Melody by Fiona Jane. Lead writer Georgina Strawson, Co-writers Emily Francis, Fiona Jane and Maryann O'Brien.
Fueled by a desire to create engaging and dynamic honest stories about modern women Hitting The Wall Theatre was founded in October 2016. The four founding members met at Nottingham University 10 years ago, through New Theatre, the student run theatre on campus.
